Location
Hubei University of Arts and Science approved by the State Ministry of education is a national class government owned comprehensive university, located in Xiangyang city, national historical and cultural city (home town of Zhuge Liang) and the second largest city of Hubei Province.
History
Hubei University of Arts and Science having history of more than 110 Years is predecessor of Xiangyang Normal College founded in 1905.In 1998, Xiangyang Normal College (Founded in 1905), Xiangfan Vocational College (Founded in 1983) and Xiangfan Institute of Education (Founded in 1984) merged to form Xiangfan University. In year 2000, Hubei College of Arts and Science merged into Xiangfan University. In 2011 Xiangfan University was renamed as Hubei University of Arts and Science.
Overview
University covers an area of 943.9 thousand square meters, with a building area of 526.6 thousand square meters. It has 15 secondary colleges, offering 52 undergraduate majors in the field of Medicine, Engineering, Industry, Trade, Management, Law, Education, Literature and Arts. At present 18000 students are studying in it. University has a teaching and administrative staff of 1537, 947 full-time teachers, including 120 professors and 312 associate professors. Library consists of 185.32 million copies of paper books and 2830GB electronic books. University has 50 various types of laboratories, 160 multimedia classrooms and 250 internal and external training bases. It is recognized by WHO, IMED, FAIMER and approved by PMDC.

Medical College building has a total construction area of 19000 square meters. College is equipped with the basic medicine teaching laboratory, clinical and nursing skill training center and scientific research experiment platform. College has a staff of 121 people. At present 865 students are studying at medical college from 20 provinces and autonomous regions.

Clinical Medicine / M.B.B.S

Duration: 6 Years (5 Years Study+ 1 Year Internship)

The MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) program in Medical College of Hubei University of Arts and Science is a medical education program specifically designed for international students who wish to pursue a medical bachelor degree in China. The composition of M.B.B.S. program is fully under the guideline of ‘Provisional Regulations on Quality Control Standards of Undergraduate Medical Education for International Students and Global Minimum Essential Requirements in Medical Education’. The overall goal is to develop extensive medical knowledge and laid a solid foundation for their further studies in any medical branch for medical graduates. Special requirements of other countries where most students originally come from are also taken into account. The M.B.B.S. curriculum is organized in a disciplinary setting based on a school’s existing undergraduate medical education program and composed of two stages, pre-clinic and clinic stage.

Classrooms & Laboratories
University has modern educational facilities which include the Computer Center, Audio-visual Educational Information Center, Network Teaching Laboratories, Multi-media Micro-teaching Laboratories, Multi-media Classrooms, Music Hall, Artists Gallery, campus-net, cable TV and broadcasting systems.
Library
The library collected Library consists of 185.32 million copies of paper books, 2830GB electronic books, foreign language labs, a foreign language broadcasting station, and an audio-visual center situated within the teaching area.
Hostel
Overseas students can choose to live in the overseas student dormitories in the students’ living area. The university provides accommodation to the international students. Two persons share a room with air conditioner, heater, attached bathroom, bed with required amenities and furniture, drinking water heater, internet access, public laundry and kitchen. Students are required to pay the electricity and water they used. The hostels are given good protection by security agencies and police booths in the University.
Sports
The University has a standard 400M synthetic-track sports field and also has various kinds of sports venues and facilities, including stadiums, venues for track and field events, swimming pools, and etc.
Campus
On campus there is a campus infirmary, Canteens, bank ATMs, campus supermarkets, laundries, book stores, etc.
Outside Surroundings
There are some convenient living facilities such as large-scale public hospital, bank, post office, supermarket, cinema, gymnasium, Parks and so on around the campus.
